Retro, Shabby Chic, Ansco Vintage Camera, Still Life, Fine Art, Antique Camera, Collectors, Ansco Readyflash Photography by M Burton

Did you know?
The Ansco Readyflash was a simple viewfinder-type camera with a fixed-focus lens, fixed aperture and single-speed shutter. Made in the 1950s, it took 620 film, giving 8 2¼" x 3¼" exposures on a roll. Its big feature was that it was flash-ready (hence the name); the lens mount had two flash terminals, synched to the shutter, to attach to a flashbulb unit. The body was a basic sheet-metal box, with removable lid, and plastic fittings carrying the lens, shutter and viewfinder.

Shabby Chic, Old Rusty Skeleton Keys.

Shabby Chic, Old Rusty Keys that speak of a bygone era. To me they are beautiful, enchanting.
I love the bokeh in this shot. I used my trusty Pentax K20d fitted with a vintage lens. I have several and I think this was the Super Takumar 50mm.

New Series - White Magnolia Love

White Magnolia - Real Beauty Endures Series - 3, Nature Art Shabby Chic Decor

Fine Art Photography by Magaly Burton 8x12

How much do you know about this beautiful but very delicate flower?

Well, Magnolia is a large genus of about 210 flowering plant species.

It is named after French botanist Pierre Magnol.

A fascinating aspect of Magnolias that is considered to represent an ancestral state
is that the flower bud is enclosed in a bract rather than in sepals;
the perianth parts are undifferentiated and called tepals rather than distinct sepals and petals.

(Tepals are elements of the perianth, or outer part of a flower, which includes the petals or sepals)

Undifferentiated tepals are common in monocotyledons.
In tulips, for example, the first and second whorls both contain structures that look like petals.
These are fused at the base to form one large, showy,
six-parted structure. In lilies the organs in the first whorl are separate from the second,
but all look similar, thus all the showy parts are often called tepals.

All of the above is to me overwhelming evidence of design,
therefore, unmistakably the handy work of a Supreme Designer!

This is the newest member of the family!
MochieAnnie, she is very special, extremely sweet and also
very spunky.  She is missing her rear right leg, but I do not think she knows that, and
I ain't saying!
