Retro, Shabby Chic, Ansco Vintage Camera, Still Life, Fine Art, Antique Camera, Collectors, Ansco Readyflash Photography by M Burton

Did you know?
The Ansco Readyflash was a simple viewfinder-type camera with a fixed-focus lens, fixed aperture and single-speed shutter. Made in the 1950s, it took 620 film, giving 8 2¼" x 3¼" exposures on a roll. Its big feature was that it was flash-ready (hence the name); the lens mount had two flash terminals, synched to the shutter, to attach to a flashbulb unit. The body was a basic sheet-metal box, with removable lid, and plastic fittings carrying the lens, shutter and viewfinder.

Polaroid Rainbow Antique Camera, Vintage Camera Painting, Original Painting, 5x5, Acrylic on Canvas by Magaly Burton

The invention of modern instant cameras is generally credited to American scientist Edwin Land,
who unveiled the first commercial instant camera, the Land Camera, in 1948, a year after unveiling instant film in New York City. The earliest instant camera, which consisted of a camera and portable darkroom in a single compartment, was invented in 1923 by Samuel Shlafrock

This is my homage to the wonderful invention almost 70 years ago.

This little painting is 5" x 5" x 1.5"
Is acrylic on canvas and the monitor does not do justice to the
Intense, happy color of this dynamic retro painting!

New series: Hydrangeas!!

I started a new series on Hydrangeas or Hortensias in Spanish.
The Hydrangea is a native of Japan, but seems to do well just about everywhere. Hydrangea make gorgeous landscape shrubs in the proper setting.
But their real beauty in my estimation is after death!
They dry to a beautiful, delicate bouquet and you can enjoy them for a really
long time. You can also enjoy them as Wall Decor, these here are my
artistic offering you can find then at my Etsy store.

I love the romantic, dreamy quality of extreme macros like this one.
I am helpless in love with this gold heart. It has tiny diamonds that reflect those lovely highlights
My old Pentax manual lens has the hexagonal shape when it renders highlights.
I love that!
